I don't feel that Nintendo will meet their forcast for the 3DS. I just don't see parents laying 300 bucks out for their kids for a handheld.

1. Shipment, shipment, SHIPMENT. This is about sold to retailers, not sold to consumers.

2. The damn thign is not going to cost 300 dollars.

3. Nintendo handhelds aren't meant primarily for kids and especially during a system's launch the percentage of parents buying one for their kids is very small.

I don't despise Nintendo. However I do despise 3D.

Well the price is not going to be that. The estimate came from people not properly taking exchange rates into account (as in thinking a yen to dollar conversion was all that mattered). $200-$250 is more likely. Of course that might still be high for you, and I can sympathize.
