It was much less than in HD consoles that's for sure. Also if they made actual games and not crap they could sell better. We will maybe see this scenario on move and kinect since those are the same principle as the wii: get casuals into gaming. And somewhat casual almost means crappy. Let's see how both devices shape up, but for now things aren't looking good for kinect even at launch.

my point stands. Microsft didn't know what profit means till 2008. Of course things like bad hardware conception, rod, pricetag at a loss and the first xbox, all helped the doom boat.
