No, Nintendo has won on software, I'm talking Nintendo the company, as they have made a boatload of software sales, far more than MS and Sony have made on their consoles, on PS3 and 360 its 3rd parties benefitting most, on Wii Nintendo has the lions share

Aren't the Wii 3rd party sales higher than the 360 or PS3?

Well uhhh... I pulled up some ball park numbers based on this site...
All the Wii games published by Nintendo sold about 273 million. Subtract that from 514 million and you got 241 million 3rd party units sold.
The 360 has sold 70 million MS published games. Gears of War is really 3rd party, but I'm including it anyway because its MS published. Subtract that from 380 million. The 360 has apparently sold 310 million 3rd party units.
Now I'm not saying these numbers are 100% accurate. But it looks like the 360 has sold considerably more 3rd party software than the Wii.

What about PS3?

Sony has more first party titles and franchises than MS but then you have Halos and Gearses at the Xbox so I'll take a shot and guess around 210m third party titles sold for the PS3. Very likely to surpass Wii's totals in the mid term, one could say. Someone could correct me later if I'm wrong.
Anyways you could say numbers are pretty meaningless for real gamers when you take a look at which titles make up for the Wii third party numbers. Just Dance, Cabela Big Hunter, Fitness Coach... when you remember the SNES/N64 or even the GC days it's pretty depressing man. That's the price Nintendo paid for being back at the top and have their money.
