Nintendo has clearly won this cycle on Hardware, there is no doubt.. but has not won on software. With the huge install base on hardware they are tracking down 20% on software this year and likely down another 20% next year. At this point in the cycle for PS2 software tracked flat to down 5% for these two years. Nintendo is in a position where they need to introduce new hardware to drive software and get back to growing earnings.

Exactly, if they introduce a redesign, along their usually planned software, they will have a fresh start, just like the PS3 slim and 360 slim.
That is what Nintendo needs. I just wonder if it is more profitable to Nintendo to keep selling the current Wii despite low sales for what the console managed to pull off, or if is is feasible to make a redesign.
@ Seece,
ok dude, whatever helps you sleep at night. Geez. At least I back up my arguments, your opinion on this matter is laughable and despising the other's sources is just ridiculous.
By I'll post here for you, another source. Click here dude. I guess that one is "pathetic" either isn't it? The world is just against Microsoft because we have nothing better to do. Yep. X360 never fry itself. Never.
