Graphics definitely do matter. Part of the key of Uncharted was that Nate looked so realistic, that you start to like him, especially with the great facial animations giving him emotions and stuff like that.... They can really help build an atmosphere, and that is important Anyway, of course they do, particularly on the PS3. If you code something designed to work around the PS3's architecture, it is going to run much more efficiently than something you bring from elsewhere |
Meh, they don't really matter that much to me. It's kind of like how CGI and special effects don't matter in movies to me. Sometimes flashy CGI can actually cheapen a movie.
I'm much more interested in quality gameplay, story, and controls. Uncharted is good because it has interesting characters and fun gameplay, imo. The graphics are just a bonus. :P
There are tons of games with great graphics that suck ass, but no game I've ever played, that has great gameplay, sucks.
I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.
NO NO, NO NO NO.
