ok, I don't know much about stocks, but I've always been interested in NTDOY. I was looking at e-trade (just for information) and it seems you have to buy a lot of 200 (bid size = 32.80 x 200). Am I correct that you have to buy $6,560 worth as a minimum? I'd like to start investing in stocks (who knows, maybe Nintendo, maybe someone else), but I'm trying to figure out how this all works. |
Not at all, you can buy as many as you want. Ofcourse there are different rules, in terms of minimum account balance and price of trades, depending on whether you are a US citizen or not (im trading through Etrade HK on the US market). Call them up and check out the website for more info. I pay 20$US trades btw.
“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.
