3rd parties need to realize that the PlayStation epoch is over (and i don't mean that Sony will never be dominant again, i just mean that the tactics they used to be dominant in 5 and 6 are not going to win generations for anyone in the next generation or two), that the rules of the game have shifted back in favor of the console manufacturers. And this isn't just in Nintendo's case. Companies that refused to develop for either PS3 or 360 are suddenly finding themselves forced to, so its just as prevalent in the HD sphere
In the rush to the next generation, 3rd parties are going to be working hard to make sure that they've got all their bases covered. Nintendo might not get the kind of overbearing support they're getting for 3DS for the N6, but i think whoever said "Super Nintendo support" was closest. Nintendo will be getting Genesis support at worst, no matter what they do.
