What I would expect on the next Nintendo home console is a much more significant effort from third party publishers at launch; and (depending on how that goes) it could potentially translate into dramatically more and better support. While I wouldn't expect the kind of core-game support as the PS3 or XBox 360 received, I think it is realistic to expect that most publishers will release more core games that were developed by better teams, attached to well known IPs, and had (relatively speaking) larger budgets and longer development times. These games would be far more likely to be successful, and as a result their sales could justify further game development. If the Wii HD is as successful as the Wii was, I would expect truly strong third party support towards the end of its life; and certainly for its successor.
