It won't matter what the next console is. It could be identical to the other systems and 3rd party support will still be poor and they'll come up with new and different excuses for why their games aren't on the system. If not that then the games will be the poorest versions. I think we need to accept that some publishers are simply anti-Nintendo in the console space. Even in the hand held race it seems when it comes to some of the bigger publishers.
I know personally next time around I'm not not getting any other consoles outside of Nintendo's. Money is a factor but this generation the only company that has really satisfied me has been Nintendo. Others have gotten lucky with a game here or there on the system and even on my PS3 and 360 there aren't many games I've replayed. However the big investments with those have been the systems and the games have usually been used or cheap.
Perhaps I'm being far to negative and I could be surprised. I'm just not holding out hope though. I know Nintendo and their partners (2nd parties) will deliver. That's really what I'm looking forward to on the next console and on the Nintendo 3DS as well.
