I am 99% certain these will be 3DS games (or at least Nintendo related), due to the timing, and I don't mean just the date, but also the hour. The blog announcment is supposed to be on 7 Am. The Japan conference is on 2 PM Japan time, and that is 7AM in most of Europe (6am in the UK). Coincidence? I doubt it.
