Where as I think Sony could of managed the YLOD issue better I think this article is stretching the conclusions somewhat. Also it is fairly obvious that the YLOD is very much related to heat so not sure how anybody got owned by claiming it has nothing to do with heat. Anyway both manufacturers have I believe for the most part resolved the majority of these heat issues.
For my money both Microsoft and Sony suffered heat stress related issues which showed themselves in different ways. One console suffered a much higher failure rate than the other which in a way insulated Sony from to much backlash over its own heat issues.
