I am actually under the impression that it isn't, hence why I think that despite people's hopes it ill be only 3DS (and very possibly Japan only).

That's what I think too. But it would be stupid IMO to launch the 3DS in February, and waiting March is against their prediction of 6m 3DS by the end of the FY. I believe the 3DS will be launched in the US or Eu by 2010.

But what is all this speaking of Wii? It's not their fall conference, until they say it there'll be nothing for it.

It's been held at the same location TGS took place. There is already a leaked announcement for FlingSmash with a new Wiiremote that has MotionPlus built in.

This conference may be only Japan exclusive info, but it will contain info for the Wii.

The Wii Plus leak is a leaked Gamestop image, not a leaked announcement. So while they could possibly announce it then (especially since the leak happened), they could also announce it later... While it is indeed in the TGS premises, I don't remember them saying there will be a September 29th conference, what I remeber them saying is that they will release more 3DS details then.

That said, I do have my fingers crossed that they will also have West related news there, including Wii news.
