I certainly don't expect Wii to come close to matching last year's holiday sales, but I do think it will stop the week to week erosion early-mid October, thanks to starting to consitently get mid-to large games. I would think Wii Party and Just Dance 2 to help prevently weekly declines in the West and maybe cause a slight increase, and Kirby should help out in Japan to help get holiday sales going a little earlier than the last week of the month. I think one of the Wii's big problems when it goes through a game drought is that not only are big games not being released but the console is not being advertised. During the holidays though Nintendo starts to advertise like crazy and I think that will begin with Wii Party/Kirby.
This is certainly the most interesting time of the year to be following video game sales, with interesting things to be looking for for all the consoles. The only thing that could make it a more interesting sales period is a WW 3DS release for the holidays.
