I use to use the USB dongle thing for the Wii to connect to the internet. It always gave me problems. Now I just use the built in wi-fi and I don't have any problems. My sister uses a wired connection for her Wii and has no issues at all but you have to order that from Nintendo I think. For some reason she can't access the Wii shop with the wired connection.
