I'll agree with this assessment, mostly because it has to be true.
If Nintendo dodges the release date outside of the fiscal year in North America (i.e. launches in April), there is going to be bloody hell to pay, even if i will be halfway across the world by then.
The question is what software will they have ready? Rumors for Paper Mario, but that always takes a bit in localization (for good reasons). Will it launch just with an N64 remake or two, what 3rd party software is ready (though DoA seems to be coming along neatly)?
These are the big obstacles there, but i very much hope you're right.
