I think 3DS will still be prenty powerful for gaming, it just won't be cutting edge.

3D isn't mandatory.  That's why there is a 3D slider on the side.

As for pixels, the 3DS is rendering only about 66% of the pixels the Wii renders.

3DS: (800*240 = 192k) (320*240 = 76,800) = 268,800 pixels.
Wii: 854*480 = 409,920 pixels.

Right, widescreen...I was using 640x480 4:3 when I was calculating the 10%...doh!

I'm pretty sure 3D is manditory for the game devs... Yes, the user can turn off the effect, but the game has to be optimized for it no?
