I'll say it another way, RE4 Wii outsold REUC, Dead Rising AND Lost Planet. Yet out of those four, it was the only one NOT to get any sort of follow up... it's like Capcom's taking business advice from Sega...
Personally, I don't think Capcom should've tried to port RE5 to Wii. While Wii could easily handle the entire game design, the visuals would have to take a major hit, and I think Wii's iffier online service wouldn't have done the must-play-co-op thrust to RE5 any favors. What Capcom should've done though is craft a Code-Veronica style Wii side game using the RE4 engine and interface. That's a game that likely would've even sold more than RE4 Wii. I guess we might be getting that now kinda with Revelations on 3DS, but I'd say there was a big missed opportunity on Capcom's part with Wii.
