Haven't read the book, but the first half of the movie was great. I thought it went downhill when Will Smith got trapped by the infected...that was just too over the top for me...and I would have rather had the movie been about him and his dog as the ACTUAL last ones alive on earth.
I'm like, oh! a movie that's really about the last man on earth...not the last man on earth who finds other survivors as well, and then rebuilds the population and la-dee-dah! Unfortunately, that's what they went with.
It may have confused the stupids, but I think if they went with him dying or perhaps his dog dying, whatever, just not finding some colony of survivors that have been fine all along...it would have been a better movie to me.

Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release. (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )
