It's just a matter of time before the PS3 passes by the 360. The 360 is already losing steam and the PS3 is gaining ground. Call the PS3 a failure because you happen to think that because there have been a few models out already to replace original launch equipment. The PS2 was very much the same way with releasing updated PS2's at a frequent rate. The reason they do that is because they find cost savings by shrinking down parts and components, they can remove some things that doesn't affect gaming with PS3 games.

It just seems like it's much more drastic because Sony has HD's that are in these consoles now and that can be a good way to market the system. The ps2 had what? 12 different versions in it's life cycle? Or it may have been more, but nobody complained and stated that "The PS2 is dying and nobody is buying it!!" like they are for the PS3.

This has got to be a joke.

Not only did you just say that a hardware revision is the same as a new SKU, but you also claimed that the SKUs are the reason people are calling the PS3 a dying system. Thats all kinds of stupid.
