This game was the last one shown during their presentation and the focus of much backlash. The game may actually be very good and considered a success if not for the weight it had thrust upon its shoulders. --On a side note, how important is "winning E3"? Microsoft lost and immediately started selling large amounts of 360's. Nintendo lost in 2008 and outsold its competitors by a fair margin, that year. Does E3 mean anything to anybody except us? Our pick for winner and loser doesn't seem to have much effect on anything. |
Well a new system would push sales anyway, as we saw from the DS Lite and PS3 Slim.
But you're right that the pick for winners and losers doesn't matter, not just for E3, but for a gaming in general. Even if we pick the winner, it was just a lucky guess, not that we made it happen.
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs
