People were expecting something for "Hardcore Gamers" at E3 2008 and Nintendo brought this out instead.  This game was the last one shown during their presentation and the focus of much backlash.  The game may actually be very good and considered a success if not for the weight it had thrust upon its shoulders.

--On a side note, how important is "winning E3"?  Microsoft lost and immediately started selling large amounts of 360's.  Nintendo lost in 2008 and outsold its competitors by a fair margin, that year.  Does E3 mean anything to anybody except us?  Our pick for winner and loser doesn't seem to have much effect on anything.
