Not really WOW sales, the PS3 is really struggling

Wii, free fall

Xbox, maintaining decent sales, after the horrible 2009 holiday and first half of the year Microsoft had, that's great for them

Expect Wii to get crazy sales at the beginning of October, with Wii Party, Kirby, then Just Dance and Donkey Kong Country

Crazy sales?  I really dont expect that at all.   Which of those games is going to bring a NEW audience at massive rates over and above current adoption rates?  Why will those games push hardware?

People are just misguided, they think because it happened in 07, 08 and 09 ect, that it'll happen again. Of course it only happened because Wii was big then and had a price cut in 09.

Now if Wii has a price cut then yes, it'll do much better sales.

I don't think people can fathom that if Wii gets no price cut or new HW that it'll do on par with the other consoles ... sales arnt going to explode because of DK and Kirby .......

When dkc was released on SNES it pushed sales above the genesis.

I don't think you understand the popularity of that game for older nintendo fans and the new ones.

Kirby I believe is more popular in Japan and I believe will push console sales. Wii Party will also push consoles.

If they are Nintendo fans then surely with 74M Wii's already in peoples homes they have already have a console.  Checked the other day the top selling console Kirby game sold like 1.8M copies.  Not going to push hardware when a console already has sold 74M units. Finally another Wii party game isnt going to bring in new people.  Wii will sell steady, but nothing to bring in people that arent already in the demographic.

Will there be people that pick up a Wii for any of those games. Sure there is always a game that pushes people over the edge.  What people are saying are these games arent going to change the direction the Wii is taking.  Simply put the only thing that could cause the Wii to have results like 2009 is to reduce price like they did in 2009.  Last year after the price cut jumped the average of about 370K per week in October from 150K per week in September.

Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.
