I think you -- like Pacther and Take 2 are missing the point. There is a Nintendo experience which many people value.

Also, you can't have it both ways -- saying you don't care about sales and then quoting sales.

Also, Mario Kart 22M, NSMB 15M, SSBB 9M, SMG 8M, Zelda 5M, AC almost 4M, SMG2 almost 4M have all sold more than EA Sports Active (3.37M).

Wii Fit/Wii Fit Plus have sold gangbusters (22M and 13M) -- Move and Kinect would be fortunate to reach the same peripheral penetration level.

I don't think move and kinect will have that much of a problem really, as it seems like sony and microsoft are looking at these peripherals as a new hardware launch.  We are already seeing console bundles and I wouldn't be surprised to see those hardware bundles becoming permanent.

I think that there will be a rush for these -- especially Kinect -- in the short-run. But I don't think the bundles are going to be the norm for sales as a lot of the traditional buyers for these consoles (especially the 360) have expressed very strong negative feelings related to motion control.

The real  is whether there will be enough of a mass for third party developers to get interested in the long-run. Related to this, is if the buyers of Move and Kinect show the purchasing patterns of not buying many games generally associated (generally falsely) with Wii owners, that would further discourage software development. That in turn would limit software sales. That could be a deadly cycle.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.
