Well I think he is going based on their Holiday sales estimates. They expect the Kinect to sell 3 million within it's first 2 months while the iPad sold 2 million within it's first 2 months.

There is many problems with his horrible prediction and use of the words "Blow Away" though.

 

First of all he fails to realize that the iPad released around April while the Kinect is getting a Holiday launch.

He also forgets that Kinect starts at $150 and the iPad started at $499.

He also forgets that he is comparing worlwide sales yet if I am not mistaken the iPad didn't launch outside of the US until May 30th, almost 2 months after it's initial release.

So Tsunoda is basically saying that worldwide holiday sales for Kinect will "blow away" US only non-holiday sales for the iPad.

 

 

Yeah, that's real fair, not to mention that even if it does sell 3 million that in no way "blows away" the iPad's sales in any way, shape or form.

Anyone disagree?
