More like next January if ever. You know, the press event on Jan 11. The one they announced at TGS. I'm sure they didn't want to anger their audience after the reactions they got by announcing the 360 version of FFXIII in Japan. A multiplatform release would mainly affect the western audiences so it wouldn't make sense to announce it at a Japanese event. Also, the game is still pretty far away and if they're going to announce a 360 version, they'll have plenty of time to do so.
That, or the game really is either an exclusive or a timed exclusive.
