I already know what the Wii is, except for the fact that the Wii shooter games have a bounding box and turning does represent a hassle whereas the PC mouse doesn't have that issue. Besides, I have no more love for KB and mouse than I do for a controller, im not that anal. I use what works.

Less reliable = jumpy crosshair and sometimes unregistered motion or unintended motion.

Jumpy crosshair is almost certainly caused by the sun. Is your TV next to a window?

I've encountered unregistered motion in a couple of games, but never in a top quality game, leading me to believe that is caused by coding errors, and I have never had problems with unintended motion*.

* Actually, that's a lie. In the level of SMG2 where you spin the Wiimote or nunchuk to flip platforms, I killed myself by scratching my chin, twice. Don't know that we can blame the Wii for that though

My TV is about 6 feet from a window but the curtains are always drawn whenever I use the Wii. Its funny actually, that one SMG2 level is the one I was thinking about when I said unregistered motion. Im glad im not alone on this one.

Try to identify possible heat sources. BTW, even direct sunlight off to the side can cause a few problems. Not as bad as on the same wall as the TV, but still something to watch out for.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
