The whole cop/chase thing is kind of the main thing in the game.

i don't know anything about NFS

This NFS game is about melting online and offline together, so the game is much the same no matter if you're online or not. It's just a matter of whether you're playing against the computer or other people. So yes, the cop/chase thing is also online.

I don't know a lot about the different game modes though.

i don't really play online but i'm looking to get a fun racing game to play online

that first video sure looked good

i thought it must be like four cops against the racers,but that emp thing looked a bit unfair for the non coppers

Both sides have special abilities if I remember correctly. I don't really know how they work though, I think you can dodge the EMPs.

Notice the Autolog. It tells you when your friends beat your time in a race, and then you can go straight to that race and try to beat their time. It's pretty awesome.
