The whole "sad" point is that it's sad to see someone to go so overboard with a video game.  Specificially, the crying guy cried and hugged an actor who probably had nothing to do with the development of the game.  That's kind of like thanking and praising an actor for a political view of a character he portrayed when in reality the actor has an opposite stance.  Hey, I'm all for getting hyped for a game.  In fact, I cried at the end of the original Suikoden almsot 10 years ago because it was such an awesome game with an awesome ending.  But chances are, this guy hasn't even played the game yet let alone finish it.  And to hug a total stranger that's portraying a fictional character.  In this context, it's NOT being hardcore (which is an insult to the term).  More accurately it's blind worship.  But maybe I'm being too critical or my works are coming off as such which I do not mean to.  At the very least, his crying and hugging over Reach pretty much compares to tween girls crying over Jason Bieber.  Fandom at its finest???

Some people cry when their elected candidate wins the election. some people cry when their favorite sport club wins some big game. some people cry when they achive WHAT THEY THINK its a great succsess...i personaly dont give a fuck about politics and im not a hardcore sports fan, but that doesnt mean i have the right to call anyone sad or blind worshiper. Who are we to say whats overboard for another person??? And you know, when people are really happy, the hug someone sometimes...
