What this really points to is many retailers are anticpating a slow holiday season and chip makers are expecting very slow business spending at the end of the year, which is typically when many companies will upgrade computre equipment. Sony and Nintendo haven't made announcments yet but you can bet they will be pulling back their numbers as well. Get ready for a bear market, hold some cash, and look to pick up some cheap stocks in about 4 to 6 months. |
Best post in the thread...You're spot on and one of the few post that looks at the big picture. The reduction is consoles being produced has nothing to with the games being released.
And if Microsoft (And the rest of the semi-conductor industry for that matter) is wrong and they sell out of systems they get to play the "We sold out of consoles due to overwhelming demand card" thus creating more demand.
