oh so many things that would make the game perfect...at least for me:

1. Story and characters: this is a tough one. i kinda want a bigger, deeper, slightly darker story(with a few good twists) with a different style than "go through three dungeons, plot point, three more dungeons, repeat", but then i dont want anything to big. the characters need to feel more...life like. Link still doesnt "talk", but, when talking to someone, you can have a conversation with that person using several different ways to respond to a question or statement a la  Mass Effect. your responses can change the game later on. Zelda will have more of a wiseness about her(like in TP) Ganondorf will be far more of an evil character, which means he may have to kill a main character(possibly link, which would lead to a dungeon in the "spirit world" where you have to escape and find your body), slauter a village, or completely decieve Link and friends in some way. i think if there were an alternate ending(2-3 endings in all), it would open more possibilities for later games.

2: progression: the game would have less linearity and you would be able to tackle dungeons in the order you choose. this means that each of the starting dungeons would be able to be completeable without any of the items. thats not without saying, items can make beating a dungeon quicker and easier, or youll be able to find more items and secrets.

3. the world: I think the world needs to be larger and more seemless. the world is no longer divided into zones and there are alot more secrets and mini-dungeons scattered about the world. Dungeons are much more seemless too.

4. Items: I think there should be alot of new items, as well as some returning old ones. there should be alot more items, each that has a purpose right down to the very end of the game, no matter how small. money should be of more use but slightly harder to find (thats where side-quests come in).

5. Combat: fighting will obviously be 1:1 (sorta) and be far more intense. more dangerous and more varied. Enemies will be more varied and more threatening. some strategy will be required other than wildly flinging your sword or repeating the same exact attack patter over and over again. Bosses will be massive and far harder to fight. the weak points wont be as obvious, and alot more strategy will be required to fight it. the bosses will not always be confined to an arena. An idea i had was, after beating the dungeon, you have a quick confrantation with the boos. after beating this quick confrantation, the real boss fight begins when the boss begins to destroy the whole dungeon. the battle centers around escaping the crumbling dungeon while still trying to fight the boss, which all leads up to an epic final fight outside of the destroyed dungeon.

6.Tingle:....no....just no......

so there you have it. at least part of it since im in a hurry. what do you all think? if i think of something else ill be sure to post it!

SHUSH!!! The timeline as it is is more confusing than reading Beowulf in Old English.
