At the very least it would be sufficiently different from anything else on the market to stand out.
If they want another Ocarina sequel for the guaranteed 2.5m sales, a lot of third-party teams would be able to follow the formula with a decent result if they outsourced it. The internal 'Zelda team' should be trying new things (and not as in "trains" or "turning into a wolf".
EDIT: My game description was posted BEFORE I read today's Malstrom rant. It reads almost word-for-word like what I wrote about Zelda.
