It was my understanding that Saturn was more powerful than PS1. thats why some of the games ran better on it. Look at Capcom's versus series. YOu couldnt even switch on PS1. 1 see my earlier post plus by that argument the 360 is in the 6th gen because it launched when only the PS2 and GCN were on the market. And see my last post PS2 was launched late 2000 DC was discontinued mid 2001.
2 like I said arguable arguable the Saturn was weaker in 3D but better at 2D, it's multi CPU architecture was hard to program for but did give it advantages in certain areas, but the fragmented limited RAM caused some problems. Like I said arguable.
