I love Halo because of the splitscreen story mode and the splitscreen multiplayer. The characters, settings, story, etc, it's all fun and great. I love the gameplay, combat has never been so fun. The enemies are all unique and challenging in their own way, and there are many different vehicles which always mix up the gameplay. I have never played through story mode and done it the same exact way. I'm always testing new guns, new vehicles, etc, it never gets old.
There are few occasions while gaming that are more fun than playing splitscreen with my friends and my little brother. Whether it's Smash Bros or Halo, I love playing and interacting with someone who is physically beside me. I just finished playing through Halo 3 with my brother again, and it was just as fun and there was just as much laughter as ever.
Splitscreen video games... These are the times I will always remember. It is truly a shame that many games have recently shifted towards online exclusive multiplayer.
