@jarrod none of those games you mentioned are fighting games, I dont care for MH so I wouldnt buy that game just for a controller. I dont think the install base is that huge as you suggest. IN the US anyway the only game to come packaged with that controller was MH3, it did ok #s in the US, hell there are millions of motion s out there and still there is no support. I will never support this whole "3rd parties try to sabotage the Wii" argument. Its crap to me. I think honestly the audience for fighting games is not that big on Wii. Look at Tvs.C how well did that do???? exactly even in Japan it did piss poor. SSF4 did better and that was just a rehash.  Wii has a better fighting library than GC??? HELL NO. Soul Calibur 2 is a better game than any fighter available for Wii. Bloody Roar, Capcom vs. SNK 2. THere arent enough convential fighters on Wii to even compare and no I dont count VC

@Viper  its because its not a convential fighter it does so well. Until I see a real fighter on Wii do good #s it looks like the audience isnt there

Comparing the sales of TvC against SS4IV is absoluely silly given the fact that few in the US even knew who half of the TvC roster is.  Not to mention there was more hype and advertising for SSFIV than TvC by a long shot.  You're taking the biggest name in the fighting game genre and comparing it to a complete unknown entity outside Japan that received practically no marketing.

You are right though about it looking like a market for fighters doesn't exist on Wii but that's largely because no one has really tried to do it.   We got a late Mortal Kombat port that had shoddy controls square in the middle of the Mortal Kombat is over period.  Tournaments of Legend just came out and was mauled by reviews to a 45 score average.  We got a poorly concieved Castlevania fighting game that averaged a 49 score.

And that's it.  Put a real high quality fighter on here and we just might buy the damn thing.
