Yes because Halo 3 released in 2007. A year where shooters weren't as prevelant and Halo is a better series than Killzone in my opinion. Killzone 3 is competing against Halo:Reach, Black Ops, Crysis 2, Gears of War 3, Bulletstorm etc. I'm not going to buy every single shooter so the ones that appeal the most to me are the ones that bring something new to the table. Killzone 3 so far isn't much different than KZ2 except a few add ons and some better visuals. We'll see if I'm proved wrong. I'm definitely buying Reach, Gears 3, and Black Ops. After that its between Crysis 2, Bulletstorm, or Killzone 3. In between all this I'm picking up Mortal Kombat. Too many games, need to save up for Las Vegas, and Killzone 3 needs to impress. I apologize for calling it KZ 2.5.

Wait... you're assuming and complaining that Killzone 3 doesn't seem to be much different than KZ2, that the shooters that appeal to you the most are the ones that bring something new to the table and then you make mention of Gears 3 ??

Sorry.  No compute.

Sigh I guess I'll mention that I like Gears of War much better than Killzone as well. Secondly have you heard of a thing called Beast Mode? That is worth purchasing Gears of War 3 in itself. Not to mention its going to have competitive matchmaking, 4 player co-op, Horde mode is back, updated graphics, new weapons, mechs are in like KZ3. KZ3 may  have as much content as Gears (if and when more info is announced), but I like the Gears series way better. Thats why its a must buy. Killzone is just not on the elite level of shooters as Gears and Halo.

This is all that ever needed to be said. Killzone simply can't win once you say that. The rest is irrelevant or unnesseccery.
