Wii seems to sell fine, as does the 360 and those both have been pirated since the beginning. Wii for example was hacked within it's first week.

Well the PS3 sells on par with the Wii and x360, even in America where the PS3 is outsold by the X360 by 10 million and Wii by 20 million yet its really not that far away from the competition, and worldwide software the PS3 is always close to the Wii and X360. That's gotta say something for a 3rd place console that's never had a hack last. We've also seen the numbers from X360 illegal downloads, which go into the millions for some games, same for the Wii.

I hope you're not talking software totals cause that's totally wrong... 360 and Wii are outright destroying the PS3 in software totals (360 by 100million units and Wii by 250million) in attach ratio, it's holding it's own but having a smaller install base helps with tie ratio, there's a reason the Gamecube ended up with a tie ratio over 10... so as a whole your claim doesn't hold much water, Wii and 360 are hacked it doesn't hurt sales, PS3 can get hacked, it won't hurt sales.
