i think gt5 will sell more hardware because most people who play halo already have an xbox.  whereas the ps3 has finally gotten into a reasonable price range so people are more willing to buy the console.  not to mention, the one post about a month (i forget who it was maybe someone can help give me credit) ago showed that every gt sold more than halo, and that is a powerful statement.
