Maybe Wii games appeal more to Japanese people?
Maybe Japanese People don't want ot fuckin pay for online gaming?
Maybe Japanese People love Mario and Pikachu more than Master Chief?
Maybe Japanese Gamers aren't big on Social Gaming like recently pointed out hence not wanting to pay for Xbox Live?
Maybe Sony and Nintendo, both being Native Japanse Companies, promote the crap outta PS3 and Wii way more than MS promoting the X360 in Japan? And Visa verca where the fact that X360 is an American Console and that Social Gaming is big in America, that is why X360 is the preferred console in US.
Maybe Japanese People care more about Handhelds more than Consoles and therefore obviously big PSP and DS sales?
A whole nation can't be a bunch of elitists who refuse to buy an American Console. JP gamers grew up with Sega, Nintendo and Sony consoles and quite frankly, they've been happy with the games on each system. It's just what they've been accustomed to and you should know that Japanese are different to Westerners with different tastes and views on things. And this doesn't only apply to Japan. A lot of other Asian countries are like this. Not specifically related to Gaming, but related to other things.
