Not Really, you brought up a good point about "Call of Duty Fever." Modern Warfare only sold 1 million duing it's first week, but it kept high numbers up over the Holidays, and sold well throughout 2008. So Initially there wasn't as much CoD Fever, but it picked up quick. This will cut sales, if it weren't for Modern Warfare 1 and Black Ops, Halo would be a 15 million seller game, both Halo 3 and Reach. The only flaw of your logic is that it's the sole reason why Reach will sell less then Halo 3 did. I just don't understand that. Yes Black Ops is comming out, and it's likely to be the best selling Treyarch CoD title, but it's still a Treyarch title. So even if Call of Duty fever is stronger now, this isn't a primary Modern Warfare title. Still it's a valid point, but it's only one point. The whole purpose of this thread is not to introduce subjective clauses, but to look at the data. I'm not trying to predict Halo: Reach sales, I am trying to track it and compare it to other Halo games, so that when Black Ops releases, people can understand how big this Halo will/has become. |
Black Ops is already beating MW2 in pre-orders compared to MW2 during it's time.
V: And the truth is, there is something terribly wrong with this country, isn't there? Cruelty and injustice, intolerance and oppression. And where once you had the freedom to object, to think and speak as you saw fit, you now have censors and systems of surveillance coercing your conformity and soliciting your submission. How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror. I know why you did it. I know you were afraid. Who wouldn't be? War, terror, disease. There were a myriad of problems which conspired to corrupt your reason and rob you of your common sense. Fear got the best of you, and in your panic you turned to the now high chancellor, Adam Sutler. He promised you order, he promised you peace, and all he demanded in return was your silent, obedient consent. Last night I sought to end that silence.
