I doubt it will even reach Diamond/Pearl sales. It's just too late in the DS's life, and the anime and trading card games (which, believe it or not, really helped early sales) are shadows of their former selves. I'm about 90% certain that sales will be in the 10 to 20 million range.

You know, I think it really says something about a franchise's popularity when people are predicting that it's only going to sell 10-20 million copies.

Pokemon: It's the CoD of JRPGs. A new entry comes out every year or two, and yet we eat it up.

Considering that Pokemon is much older than CoD and has been selling like crazy since it first appeared (unlike CoD who only became a massive seller in 2007), it's more proper to call CoD the Pokemon of FPSs, rather than to call Pokemon the CoD of RPGs.
