I also think it is saved for Wii2. And I doubt it will be the finger clip thing in its new format, a large part of the "huh?" reaction to the vitality sensor was not from its nature but its implementation as a finger clip, which is not very appealing.
Then again I could be wrong (part of the question being can one do biofeedback any other way except as a finger clip, e.g. a wristband or a finger touch control in the cobntroler).

I agree, it's probably not going to be the sort of hospital clip prototype we saw before. It'll be integrated into the controller directly somehow... who knows how though?

Years ago some exercise bicycle came with an earlobe clip, instead of a finger one. The last I tried didn't work at all, but much time has passed since them, they should be more reliable now. Modern models mostly use contacts on the handlebars, but they require to keep both hands on them to work, possibly not handy for every console game.
