Very interesting indeed. The fact that the local officials denied the burning isn't really part of the point here. They could just as easily gone to the beach to do this or somewhere else where there can be fires. The point is that they're burning the Quran, a freedom they should have, and of course you know the ones shouting "religious freedom!" for the Mosque might be singing different tunes over this. Although the situations are a bit different, i do find it somewhat ironic.
