The video game industry needs to grow up. Not only is it the only industry I've ever heard of where developers blame customers for bad sales, but I agree with Lord, many developers tend to make plenty of assumtpions without actually doing any real research. Gaming Journalists can fall into the same category. It's like they're in their own little world and fail to see the mass of people in this world who don't fit their tiny circle of ideas.

That's precisely how Nintendo swooped up this generation with the Wii. At least someone was thinking.

This is actually part of the reason I got so upset here. It's all based on the notion of thinking they know better, and then blaming us for not proving they know better.

Plus I want to repeat that it might be possible that online matters more. I just don't like it assumed without proving it. Too much money is at stake for such an attitude.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
