Well, yes, you encountered a "big" boss at the beginning, but you also went around to feed cows, defeat bandits and water crops. Not exactly heroic stuff.

You can also help the farmer clean out giant worms from her field, so there is plenty of non-heroic stuff to do.

And good thing you can live with the travelling system.
