I think you're confusing Pikmin with something else here. Pikmn was created during the GameCube, not before, unless I it actually was, which then I shall ask you where can I play the first Pikmin every created. O_O

I think what he's responding to something you may have implied. Perhaps it's the quote "donkey kong has only done phenomenal on the SNES"

I think his post can be paraphrased as:

DKC games did well on SNES and no other system, because they were on, and only for, the SNES. Similarly with Pikmin, Pikmin only did well on the system it was on, and no other system.
