Well the Earth would certainly become overpopulated if that happened. Though I agree it would be nice to be with the ones we love forever. The good part is that when you die you won't really care anymore. It's the ones who loved you and are still alive who suffer.

The overpopulation problem could be solved by ceasing to create new children :P or expanding to new planets.

And deny billions of countless future lives the chance to live?
