I hate the TV second hand market, it's awful in the UK. First of all TV's lose value REAL fast and second of all due to their size it's difficult to sell them on unless the buyer is prepared to pick up or the seller is prepared to drop off. This limits it's eBay potntial.

Thats pretty much why Craigslist was invented, at least in the USA.

I never got the point of craigslist, until I realized it's good for furniture, big TV's, stuff like that, that you really dont want to ship, but somebody locally can just come to your house and get it.

I know about TV's losing value though LOL. I paid something like $550 for my 27" LCD HDTV back in 2007 I believe. I recently upgraded to a 42" for roughly the same price! You now routinely see 42" sets for as low as 500-600, sometimes even 399. Now I gaurentee in a couple years you will see like 55" sets for the same 600. Unless 3DTV delays the price decreases.

I kept my 27" for the bedroom. Realisticaly it has perhaps $100 value at best, so there's no point selling it. Considering you could probably buy a brand new 27" with more modern features for 199, maybe 299 tops.
