I think it stands for Lucky Goldstar, well it did originally. I remember studying them for my Geography A-Level, interesting company.

OT, if i could afford a Sony TV in the size i've got, i would have bought it, but the Sammy is good enough and huge.

Bravias have always been top of the range, they do some really clever things, but you need all the other peripheries to really appreciate it.
