Last Holiday the wii set records for systems sold mainly I believe due to NSMBWii

This Holiday I believe with the release of Kirby,DKC, and Wii Party sales will approach 2009 holiday levels

DKC I think will be huge and sell systems

$50 price reduction was major cause of 2009 holiday sales. Just compare August, September and October.  Wii went from about 150K per week in September to 370K per week in October.

Impressive... will it do it again ?? hmm

Sadly, no I can't see that happening even with Kirby in October. Especially if it's not even launching in PAL until next year. We're probably going to be seeing some truly massive YOY hemorrhaging in October and November. Probably over 2 million units. It's too hard to put a number on December but I simply CAN NOT see a scenario where it's up YOY in that month. I would imagine at least a million, possibly more. Don't get me wrong I hope it does great. I'm really looking forward to the Wii's upcoming line up and it will still be the #1 selling home console this holiday but last year was simply too huge to match.

I think you are underestimating DKC and the hardware it will sell in America

The game on SNES pushed units to the point that it was the reason SNES beat the genisis imho

I think it will sell lots of hardware in of itself and Kirby will push hardware in Japan more than DKC will

I don't think the wii will sell 4 million as it did last december but I beleive it will sell around 3.6 million IMHO
