Not to get on VGC, but the preview has been consistently underestimating PS3 since Slim launch.

Remember, they even thought that PS3 was going to be the only system (Handheld and Home Console) not to experience growth week over week during Obon week. They expected it to drop quite a bit.

It's not related to Slim imho. I remember before slim launch preview was equally bad when it comes to ps3 sales. Especially on various holidays or big releases like FFXIII demo.

Hell if we looked into old prediction league numbers we would probably see collective averages of eductaed guesses there more accurate then preview on hardware ;)
